Job Description: Dental Veterinary Technician
Position Overview:
The Dental Veterinary Technician plays a crucial role in providing specialized dental care to animals under the guidance and supervision of a veterinarian. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, equipment, and anesthesia protocols to ensure optimal oral health and overall well-being of animal patients. Key Responsibilities:

2. Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and applying fluoride treatments, to maintain optimal oral hygiene for animal patients.
3. Assist with dental radiography procedures, including positioning animals and operating dental X-ray equipment, ensuring accurate and clear images.
4. Prepare dental equipment, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and proper functionality.
5. Administer anesthesia and monitor vital signs during dental procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
6. Assist the veterinarian during dental surgeries, providing appropriate instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and anticipating the surgeon's needs.
7. Educate pet owners on dental care, providing guidance regarding at-home oral hygiene practices and recommending appropriate dental products.
8. Maintain accurate dental records, including dental charts, treatment plans, and post-operative care instructions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Associate's degree or certification in veterinary technology or equivalent.

4. Proficiency in performing dental examinations, cleanings, and dental radiography.
